What is Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama all about? Youth Development

What’s the big mission that drives your work? To help children and teens reach their full potential, this is accomplished through our daily programs after school and during the summer in the priority areas of Academic Success, Character & Leadership Development, Health & Wellbeing, and Life & Workforce Readiness.

Let’s talk impact! What are some of the biggest ways Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama has made a difference in the community? Any stories that stand out? We currently have 76 high school graduates who ALL have a solid plan for their future! 47% are enrolled in a 4-yr University, 33% are enrolled in a 2-yr Tech school, 16% are joining the workforce, and 04% are enlisted in the military. The goal is that 85% of these graduates will be in a career path within 5 years of high school graduation that leads them out of poverty.

Who do you serve, and what’s something people might not realize about the needs in our community? We provide hope and opportunity for thousands of kids ages 5-18, and we are strategically located in areas of greatest need so that they have access to quality enrichment programs after school and during the summer

What is the most rewarding part of your work at Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama ? Through education, exposure, and experiences… Truly making a difference, the impact is incredible and generational changing!
